Daffodil Pheasant's Eye x 10

Daffodil Pheasant's Eye x 10

Often referred to as The Poet's Daffodil, and usually the last daffodil to bloom, not coming into colour until May.
A very old, almost ancient cultivar, a true heirloom species, ranked among the oldest members of the flower family, and very close to the true wild form.
Standing just 12 inches tall this daffodil is a charming combination of large, pure white reflex petals with a yellow cup edged red and a bit of green inside.
It is this green on the inside cup or eye that gives Pheasant's Eye its name.
A strong delicious spicy fragrance adds to the charm of this unique flower.
Ideal for naturalizing, Pheasant's Eye is equally at home in beds, borders and containers.
Well suited to colder climates, it is particularly good in mountain areas.

Oxheart tomatoes are a large, old-fashioned, heirloom or heritage type tomatoes that have come back into fashion because they are fragrant and sweet, making them an excellent addition to many dishes. So called because of their heart-like shape, one of the things that makes oxheart tomatoes so popular is their size, large specimens can weigh up to a pound, which means there is a great deal of tomato to go around. Easy to grow, it usually takes around 80 days for tomatoes to be produced on oxheart tomato plants. They are indeterminate type tomatoes, (they continue to grow and produce fruit until killed by frost) and the sprawling plants need support. The plants can get as tall as 10 feet, thought most reach only 6 feet. Plants have fern-like foliage and can
also be grown in pots, either indoors or outdoors, growing indoors greatly extends their growing season. Oxheart tomatoes need full sun, well-drained soil and lots of fertilizer. They prefer soil with a relatively neutral pH. Before you plant your tomatoes, add a good general purpose fertilizer to the soil. After planting, apply .5 kilo per 10 square metres and work it well into the top 15cm of soil.
