Chives (Allium schoenoprasum) - Bohemia
Perennial patch plant with pink decorative flowers, aromatic, leaves used as seasoning.
This is a high yielding broad leaved variety which is intended for forcing as well as field growing. Leaves are fairly wide in diameter and have a medium green colour. They have a rather sharp taste and have a high content of vitamin C. The growing time until harvest is approximately 100 days. The harvest can be repeated. This variety has good over-wintering abilities.
Planting starts in the spring or autumn with a spacing of 10 x 20cm.
